Is he joking? Is he joking? The Suns are Shaq’s team? He’s the third best player on the team—at best. The Suns traded their third best player for him—and that player was better than him. Are the Hornets Tyson Chandler’s team? They’ve also got a dominant point guard and undefendable PF, and Chandler is basically just as good as Shaq in his current form. The Hornets are Tyson’s team, right?

If I was Terry Porter, I would bench Raja Bell for even saying that. For being so very wrong and for insulting the two cores of the team. This season is about the Suns smoothly passing the leadership torch from Nash to Amare. Shaq gets to watch, for which he should feel grateful.

rajiv: your last vacation was to Antarctica. Yes, it gets cold here. Not very cold; just cold. Yes, it snows here. Not very much though. I agree, it’s weird for it to snow in the place where you live; snow is supposed to be traveled to, not just show up on its own. But once you get past that and put on a coat, it’s really not that bad.

I’m still in blissful shock about the election. I watch this video and want to dance in the street—again, today—to celebrate.

And then I think: 46% of America actually tried to make this not happen (of those who voted, anyway). We were so happy, so sure this was right that we danced in the street when the TVs told us we won, we waved flags and hoisted signs and hugged strangers, and still almost half the people went home disappointed. It’s hard to fathom.

update: who are the 46% people? Irrelevant racist southerners.

Ever since the iPod came onto the scene, with its play/pause button but no stop, the damn stop button has been quickly going extinct. All the online video sites - YouTube, Vimeo, Hulu - lack stop buttons. My zune just has a play/pause and a button to go back. Sometimes I don’t want to just pause something, I want to stop it. Why am I not allowed to stop?
